I was just wondering which engine is best suited for Forced Induction, The LT1 or the LS1 or the 3800 Series V6. I dont know much about the 6. I know the LS1 has the bottom end for it and the heads flow better. Thats about the extent of my knowledge of forced induction V8s. Unless you wanna get into Turbo'd 427 LS7/LS1, then i know a little there to.

The 3800 series V6 comes with a blower from the factory(well at least some of them), so I'd say that that would be best suited for forced induction ;)

The LS1 and LT1 both will not hold a lot of boost on stock internals. However the LT1 is an iron block so it is a bit stronger than the LS1 in that sense.

Well, the thing here is the LS engine will far outreach the other two entries in the HP dept. The fact that the 6 MIGHT hold a pound or two more is irrelevant, the engine to go with for nearly ANY reason is the LS family, bar-none, unless you plan on building a race engine then the LT will hold its own as well.

it all depends how much boost you want to put to each motor or how much power you want to make..... all of those engines are good. but if you want to make power with them you need a good low compression iron block. with a good set of head gaskets a cam that will work for the combo

FWIW I wasn't talking about HP numbers in my post at all. Definitely agree with ya 100% on this...
