What's in my trunk?

I have a 1996 Z28 Convertible. I was looking in my trunk today and in the trunk on the drivers side behind the carpet pad thingy, there is a cyndrical looking thing with hosses running to and from it and some type of fluid in the hosses. What is it? Is it something for the shocks or is it something for the convertible top?

That is the hydraulic pump for the folding top.
