Hey guys i have alot more experience with the Ls1 than i do the LT1. SO I come to you for help. Do you think That I could do 420 rwhp and 400rwtq with a stock bottom end and naturally aspirated spinning through the stock M6 and the 10 bolt? This car is going to be a daily driver so if its a pretty radical setup then no. I was considering the Le2 setup but i havent heard much about it. Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks

In most cases your lt1 tq will be higher than your hp. And i dunno it would take some money. It wont happen with the le2. And you will need a bigger cam. The problem with LE's work is that for one his cams are single pattern. And for 2 he gets your heads and sping the intake and exhaust til they are cut as far as they can possibly go and he reuses old valves. Depending on wheere you live i can setyou up with some SAM machinists graduats that run their own shop. LE is a garage man with little credentials and knows very little about engine building. He knows how to port heads and grind cams. I got these guys to talk to LE and they said he knows his porting but goes about it in a diff way than they do. I go to their shop all the time and WATCH their work. PM me if you want details.

Some say good things soem say bad things. I have never used them so i cant bitch one way or the other about them. Depends on what you want to do. Lt1 style or lt4 style. Lt1 style i liek edelbrocks but if it were me which ti is i plan to get lt4 heads port them with new valves and mahcien them. Also plan to do that to my stockers so i can run carbd motor every now and then.

lt1 AFR heads are good, but not out of the box, they still need to be finished for big hp...

Absolutely. Contact Lloyd Elliot or Advanced Induction. Both companies can get you there fairly easily with supporting bolt-ons and a tune.
Yeah I was gonna suggest AI myself, a lot of guys around here praise their work.

Not on a stock or 355 bottom end. Just doesn't have the displacement to really make a bunch of torque.

You can do 420 to the wheels through an M6/10 bolt setup, but you're going to need a GOOD set of heads and a very complimenting healthy cam. On the TQ question, not going to happen. About the most torque I've ever seen out of a 350/355 LT1 is in the 380's.

If you really want to get the car moving fast, talk to E&B Porting (did Joe O's heads) for the heads and get a custom cam from someone like Joe O, Brett Bauer, or Futral Motorsports.
