Hey all. Just did headers on my 97z28 and now am experiencing a surging idle. To back track a little, I was experiencing a hanging idle to where the car would almost cruise on its own and not rev down until I blipped the throttle. But I believe I resolved that issue when I found a disconnected vacuum fitting. Now I am having issues with the car idling and surging. I found these two possible culprits (pictured) but I don't know if it's just a simple case of doing an idle re-learn since the car had learned an idle off of a disconnected vacuum line?

One line appears to be coming from the distributor while the other is off the evap canister

Have you tried the 96 factory service manual at the following link. It should have full vacuum diagrams in there. Your 97 vacuum lines should be same as 96. It will be a hunt as GM in 96 changed the format of the service manual. So you'll have to do some hunting to find what you need. www.mediafire.com/?40mfgeoe4ctti
