before taking the starter out note which posts are used before taking them out then take all the wires off. the easiest way i have found to take the starter out is to push it forward where there is more space, spin it around with the narrow end towards the back of the car and try to wiggle it out between those lines and the exhaust. those lines will move just a bit to the side but do not bend them. the other piece on the side of the starter will need to be turned towards the gap at the back of the exhaust where the gap is the largest. the first time getting the starter out is always the hardest, after that its a piece of cake. ive gotten the process down to removal and replacing down to 30mins. good luck
