Man I'm trying to get this damn starter out, for an hour I, been wrestling with it ,and still ain't got it out there are two aluminum lines in the way,has anyone done this before,? If so can you tell me how to get it out,I'm taking a break right now but I'm going back under there in a minute.

Those are the trans cooler lines.. unholy them from the oil pan and you'll get the inch or two you need... Or could also remove.from trans if u have to. Gl

before taking the starter out note which posts are used before taking them out then take all the wires off. the easiest way i have found to take the starter out is to push it forward where there is more space, spin it around with the narrow end towards the back of the car and try to wiggle it out between those lines and the exhaust. those lines will move just a bit to the side but do not bend them. the other piece on the side of the starter will need to be turned towards the gap at the back of the exhaust where the gap is the largest. the first time getting the starter out is always the hardest, after that its a piece of cake. ive gotten the process down to removal and replacing down to 30mins. good luck
