As most of you no from the earlier polls i love iroc-z's and 1LE's. I was browsing my yearone lookign for suspension/brakes and came across 1LE brake swap kit and sway bars etc. Im for sure getting the 1LE sways and prolly the brake kit as well but for reference purposes would any of you think badly of me if i put a 1le badge on? The rear of course cuz that is where they are on 3rd gens. After all i will have 1le sways and brakes. It would be kind of a one of a kind thing?

By the time you buy all that expensive 1LE stock type stuff, you could put a real brake system on your car like Baer or SSBC system.

Just something to think about.

BTW its your car,do what you want who cares what anyone else thinks.

Just don't pass it of as an original 1LE car if you ever sell it,thats not cool.

I have a friend who has a 92 GTA,he has three(3) 4th gen WS6 badges on it,I don't have one on my car,I just wanted the look.

Well i would never try to pass it as a rare 1 of 3 1le bs lol. But one of the reasons i went with 1le is gm makesa new spindles i couldnt find aftermarket spindles from baer ,wilwood etc. I am looking into wilwood systems but its expensive and although i would liek to run open track at like texas roadcourse at TMS it wont be hard just to do a coupel hotlaps for shits nothign serious so i dont belive i need to spend 1500$ for FRONT set. Thanks for the replies though guys ill keep it in mind.

I dont see a problem with building a 1LE clone. No different than a SS clone(which people build all the time on the older muscle cars). I say go for it.

well unfortunately the 1le are for 3rd gens only. I was sure they had it down for 93-97 but i was wrong. So it looks like my 1le clone wont be happening. My next choce is SSBC again because they sell spindles with their kits. Just a thought. Since i plan to basically redo my car top-bottom How much can i expect to sell it for IF i were to sell it. I will be building a new shortblock coupled to lt4 heads ported with a better cam etc. Complete suspension. New drivetrain trans rear d-shaft, new dash trim new steering wheel you get my point i want to do a 4th gen resto and plan to leave little to nothing untouched. My odo will say 100k but my car will say brand new. Could i see 10-15k if it turns out like i want? Chances of me selling it will be slim and if i do itll be bcause im in a bind.

I thought you were building a 3rd gen Iroc/Z28.

You can get the complete LS1 brake swap on EBay for $185.00 to $250.00.

This includes spindles, hubs, 2 piston aluminum calipers, brackets and hoses.

I did this swap and it improved my braking dramatically.

This is the most bang for the buck swap and 16" wheels will still fit.

Your 4th gen restored would be worth what a 4th gen unrestored would be worth, except to you.

Cars are a depreciating asset, unless its an older muscle car.

Well i understand but they are "1le style"ant 1le looking but fit 4th gens, not so. So i decided on SSBC's. I saw a 1994 firehawk completely done up not pro'd out but has a 396 stroker and the accessories for sale in a local mag for 24,5 thats where i got the idea about beign able to sell mine for 15 or so completely restored. I probobly wont sell it but if i did would liek to get my money back i plan to spare nothing on it COMPLETE resto.

Just checking in guys. Finally got some time on my comp. I decided on a theme for my car as far as aftermarket goes and that will be red. All my new parts will be red most have a choice of black or red and seeing as how the lt4 intake i plan on had a red head i figured why not stay with red. And also my interior is the "rare" medium grey/flame red.
