I was wondering if I could get new t-top latches somewhere, not easily finding them on ebay. Mine were binding so I tried greasing them and now it seems way too easy to operate, afraid it may come loose while driving.

Or would I need to buy new t-tops? If so, where can I find "like-new" condition t-tops with proper working latches? Also is it easy to swap out the locks? Thanks!

Have you tried adjusting the t-top hardware to put some more pressure on the latches, so they won't accidentally come loose.

I have not...how is that done? I didn't see any adjustments unless I have to remove the latch from the glass to access?

I also still have some binding when I'm at the mid-point of the latch whether opening or closing.

Consult your 96 service manual for instructions.

Having said that, GM cars with t-tops should be able to adjust the fit. The adjustments are usually on the body attachment points rather than the top itself.
