I usually stay away from rebuild kits and buy the parts I want individually, because they are usually not included in the kit anyway.

Stay away from the cast cranks in the kits, Scat & eagle, as they are not as good as the GM stock crank. Think about sending your stock crank to a machine shop to have it turned down and matching over sized bearings fit.

I always run tri-metal bearings, for that extra little reliability factor.
