Hi guys, I hope somebody can help me with a problem on a 200R4. Bought from gearstar into the UK and installed in my 34 Ford. For the first 600 miles it performed beautifully. On the way home from a rod run all was going well, pulled into a gas station, fueled up, engaged drive and pulled away no problem and didn't change into second as it normally did. Eventually went in after accelerating more than usual but would not engage third or fourth. I tried manually changing but got nothing. Got home, checked all underneath and found nothing wrong.
Pulled the tranny out and took it to a very respected repairer for him to strip down and find the fault. I thought I may have set the tv cable wrong but I checked before using the car with friends who had done this previously and I know it was ok. Anyway, the tranny man could find nothing wrong whatsoever and the only thing he could think of is the valve body.
I am at the moment installing the box but must admit i'm very dubious as to whether it will work ok. Got to say, its a mammoth job to change the box, whole of the front of the car off, rad out, headers off etc. Just in case any of you are wondering if I contacted gearstar, I didn't, I was waiting for the fault to be found which unfortunately did not happen!.
Anybody got any ideas what could have caused this?.

Just thought I would update on the problem I had with my 200R4. I hate to admit it but it was down to the Lokar TV cable slipping and becoming too loose.
All that work for nothing!.

Purchased another cable and its happened twice again, seems the two nuts on the adjuster vibrate, loosen and allow too much much play. The play in the cable is as little as 1/8" and this causes the box not to change into third and fourth.

May help someone with the same problems using a Lokar cable.
