Hey, im new here. My names chris. IM in the us army. Im in the 18xray program ( 18bravo mos ) and will have close to 60 grand to blow (not counting 2 years of training pay and combat pay ) and its all goin into a fbody. I came here to get suggestions. Please tell em what you would do with the money. Goal: Baddest car on the street. SO basically a 10 sec street car with an interior that I can still bring the ladies home in.

IMHO put 1/2 in a mutual fund and forget about it. Would be a killer down payment on a home some day (garage!)

There's not an F-body made IMO that's worth blowing $60,000 on.

Having said that, you have the budget to go big time with every part of the car. I'd see about sourcing an LS7 crate motor.

Powertrain:
a twin turbocharged 427(should be capable of 7-800hp)for the engine.
a T56 with the Viper internals with a twin disc clutch.
a 9in rear with 3.73 gears.

Interior:
a Wolfe 6pt chromoly cage with swingout door bars and maybe removable center bar. Sparco leather racing seats with 5pt harnesses

Suspension: (chromoly unless noted)
K memeber
upper and lower front control arms
Subframe connectors
chassis mount torque arm
Lower control arms
panhard bar
LG coilover setup

Stereo:
some sort of car computer setup with in dash touchscreen
replace all speakers
run completely new speaker wire
6 channel amp for factory locations
Sound deadening thruout
Kicker 12in solox sub with a matching amp

Exterior: (camaro)
VFN Sonoco hood
Fiske rims

Exterior: (T/A)
VFN WS9 hood

For the motor go to lingenfilter.com they have the TT 427 It makes 800hp If you don't know that already. Interior well I'm not sure there

the same setup can be had for MUCH less... ;)

Well yeah but he's got 60k to spare It's 28k for the whole thing including trans. but I guess the interior and the looks of the car will require more than 40K.

you should really cut two holes in the hood and have the turbo's pop out like that 1500hp GN (If any of you guys have seen that vid)

your forgetting cost of the car itself.... :poke:
and rule #1 you dont waist money for no reason.... ;)

the tranny that they give you is laughable for what you want it to hold..

oh yeah duh :duh: I thought he had the car already you're right, yeah definately do twin turbo's :cool:

Just come to the shop with a suitcase full of 100's and we'll take care of the rest....



just kidding - the twin turbo 408 would be a fantastic combo and be streetable. Figure about $20-25k to get it built and installed and tuned right. drivetrain and suspension need to be built up to handle it.

i was just going to say.... i am SURE that one or 2 of our sponcers could build you a longblock to handle all the boost you want...

Hmm... me thinks I need to change my undies... after just thinking about that. Prolly a good way to go.

how about a 97 WS6 all stock 38k never seen winter. stored during the winter adult owned 10k i have all the paperwork including the window sticker. as a starting point?
