So my ipod from high school lost its head phone jack... only have sound to one ear now. :banghead:

I have had it apart in the past to replace the screen, and battery, but never looked to see if the jack was replaceable.

Thoughts?

haha, i had the same thing happen to my ipod. it decided to screw up, and i had to reset it to factory settings. i was PISSED.

I got it bout 5 years ago, so its paid itself off...

And zunes sucks. I hate em just slightly less than I hate apple.

Ok, so I finally got the headphone jack and took the ipod apart yesterday with a steak knife and eyeglass repair kit... :lol:

Now I need a good program to remove the music off my ipod. Itunes is not communicating with it anymore, so I gotta restore it, but don't wanna do that before backing up my music.

It is not reading the ipod, and when I search via my computer says the hard drive needs to be formatted to get anywhere... feckkkk

maybe, just maybe Copy Trans Manager? It is free and does not use iTunes. Is your iPod taking a charge when you install it to computer? If no, I do not know anything that will help.

I have never had a single issue with any of my Zune's. I can't say the same about my iPhone's and iPods that can't play true 1080p (I have Star Wars -all 6 episodes- on my Zune HD in true 1080p that plugs into the HDMI port of my big screen and plays in 1080p), pick up any radio stations -including HD, or share music with anyone, or use music not downloaded by iTunes....

Backing up a Zune isn't an issue because it's already done when you load the Zune. It's also available on all your Windows 8 devices and X-Box's. And loading multiple Zunes with the same music is as simple as plugging it in and loading it.

Unlike iTunes.....

Just saying. You can limit yourself with an iPod or you can pay less for a Zune that easily does more that triple what the iPod does.
