Just finished tearing down my 350 and noticed the block had a clearance done is that typical on a stock motor...
Sorry if it's a stupid question I'm a newb!

What was given clearance? If it was the area below the bottom of the cylinders, that was to install a stroker crankshaft into engine. This would increase cubic inches from 350 up to between 383 & 400.

If clearance was somewhere else, I haven't a clue as to what it was for.
