Started my car up the other day and there was a horrible rattling sound coming from under the car. I got down there and listened and it sounds like it is coming from my cat. I dont really care If my cats are bad because I was going to get rid of them anyway, but I was just wondering if the cat could make a rattling sound.

Cool that is what I was thinking but just wanted someone else's opinion. My next question is the cheapest and easiest way to remove the cats. I am going to be doing lt headers and y pipe but I am still getting parts together so that I can redo everything at once. So I want to just remove them for cheap until I replace the headers.

I don't know what you are capable of or willing to spend but get some pipe to replace the cat or disconnect the exhaust and knock out all of the honeycomb. If you leave it intact and cut it out, you can sell the whole cat with honeycomb to a junkyard for around $50 if its oem.
