What offers better cooling a 3 core copper radiator or a 2 core aluminum? Why?

After doing a google search. From what I understand, the design of the radiator has as much to do with how well it cools as the material its made of.

Are you having cooling problems? The best mod I made to my 88 Iroc that had factory dual fans was to remove them both and install a dual fan assembly from an LS-1 car. These fans are shrouded very nicely to force all the air they pull right through the radiator. It was literally a drop in deal with very little mod required. With a 170 thermostat and my fans programmed to come on at 180 I can sit all day in traffic and the A/C blowing cold with no worries. The stock fans would not allow this,,,after a while the temp would creep...the stock fan assembly sucked in my opinion with literally no shrouding. I still run the factory issue radiator in mine. I still use the stock radiator also, no problems here.

You can check out www.becool.com which makes what they call module assemblies for our cars. They are expensive, but web-site has information on differences between cooper and aluminum rads, and much more. Hope this helps.:thumbsup:

Wow back from the dead. lol

For what it's worth I used a generic Jegs 31"x19" radiator and fabbed up some brackets for it. No problems.
