That thing is an absolute beast! Question i have is how bad does it flex without the structural rigidity of the hard top? I know they reinforced the sides and doors but still with a motor and rear end like it's definitely a big question in my mind.

Once everthing get's tied in together, Everything will be just fine, but just one pass down the highway without them yielded ground effect - body seperation. The cage will simply help hold everything together once tied in to the custom subframe connectors.

A couple of my buddies at the shop have talked me into having a 300 shot on it for the initial tests at the track - so N/A or Nitrous she will be a handful!

that thing is bad ass bro!! I have a few buddies who run converabbles and tie the frames in and add a roll cage and run 8 second times , so It can be done, also I run 488 gears in my monte and drive it on the street, yes its NASTY but its a freekin blast!!! and it just sounds too wicked coming chugging down the road with the 55oo stall and 488 rears... but if you wanna go fast streetability is just something you sometimes have to sacrifice....
My Monte runs 6.30
s in the 8th and prob a lil faster than that now and cannot wait to get to try the new big shot nos kit on it I just purchased!! I wanna take it to a 1/4 mile track and see how fast it will go in the 1/4 on the hose.. I believe It will runn 9.90 on motor as it sets now so 8's shouldnt be too ghard to hit on the hose...

Well gentlelman, after a lil more research into this project I have decided to go twin turbo... Stainless works makes the turbo headers which was my largest fear. The turbo's should give me a little more room for error on the street vs the procharger while they ramp in the boost I have decided on large fram T4 Nothing smaller than 76mm ball bearing turbos with my limit hovering around the newer 92mm's.

I am not building the car for any one particular class just to have a fun toy for the weekends, I wanna be the guy they talk about when they say "There is always someone faster"

Yikes, am curious to see where you will stash BBC turbo headers and twin +76 housings.

I assume vertical radiator and tubular front bumper support?

There was a twin turbo big block Pontiac in the fastest street car challenge last year it went 225mph in the Texas mile or salt flats can't remember let me see if I can find it
