I just got my LT1 put back together after a head and cam install. first start up went great and sounded awesome but then i looked under the hood and the belt wasn't moving and it was because the power steering pulley was off the shaft and kind of just laying on a hose. Is this because when i put it on i didn't press it on far enough? or is there a bolt that goes on it to hold it on?

Very possible. How come the pully was off in the first place? Did you clean the shaft or pully. If its not pressed on or fully seated there is a possibity that it would come off but it would only happen if it was only half on to begin with. Another possibility is if its not tight on the shaft and if the harmonic balancer wasn't fully seated the belt may have enough tension to slowly pull it off

There isn't a bolt that goes in the middle, the hole is there for the installer/removal tool
