I Need Assistance! I Have a Lt1 Out Of A 1995 Firebird Trans Am. I Recently Installed New Rod And Main Bearings While I Was Installing Arp Main Studs. Now I Know Better But I Didnt Mark The Rod Cap And Got The Number 7 And 8 Caps Mixed Up, I Cant See Any Markings Or Machine Marks...... How Bad Off Am I? What Should I Do? I Dont Wanna Spin A Rod And Ruin The Crank HELPPPP!

I don't know what the results will be, but rods are machined as a unit and should always be put back together as that unit.

You'll have to bite the bullet and remove the pan and put the caps on the correct rods.

Now having said that, I once knew a guy who could mix and match engine parts and always come out smelling like a rose.

I only know if I did that, the engine would blow up.

I Have The Engine On A Stand Now, To Be More Accurate With My Question I Could switched Them Or Maybe Not, I Set Them In The Order I Took Them OfF But The Two fell. I'm Probably Just Dwelling Over The Worst Car Scenario... I Do Appreciate Responses Though
