I just wanted to clue you guys in, these are NOT Delco optisparks. Delco optis are brownish yellow on the bottom and come in Delco boxes. This guy is selling knockoff parts, how do I know? Well I sell them too. Except im not a piece of shit selling them as the real deal. Stay clear of All-Ignition, hell just look at his about me page and look at the photoshop'd picture of his "building." Been in business for 15 years? Really, google sure doesn't show it. Made in North America? Try China. The guy is a scumbag. Nothing wrong with selling copy cat parts, as long as your selling them as that... not the real deal.

I don't even sell the real deal, can't buy deep enough. Buy yours through ThePartsLadi

I am on a budget and wanted to know if anybody has heard of these guys?any opinions other than you get what you pay for. This will be going in a jeep, not a 1/4 mile ultra performance car. Thanks for the look

jims,
hey man i know where to get you an msd unit like i just bought for cheap. you are gonna spend 300 on a GM unit then ensure that it is GM. On the other hand i will give you a nuber that you can call to get you a deal on parts. Private message me for it

No, it is not an ACDelco. If you read the post as a lawyer would, (I am not, but as an engineer I understand lawyerese) it is not an actual ACDelco. He merely lists the ACD number. I have one, if you want to buy it. On the plus side, it has true copper contacts, not the cruddy aluminum contacts the GM parts have.
Some have reported good performance from these parts. Some have not. Just like all other opti reports, GM or aftermarket. Just an observation.

I contacted the guy and this is what he said-
Dear all_ignition,

is this an "ac delco" distributor ?or a replacement part as in cheap replacement?

Dear jusjimbo,

All of our units are repackaged in specialized packaging at the warehouse for damage protection during shipping. The distributor is direct from AC Delco's factory, there is no reason why anyone would not like this distributor, especially given the price. Let us know if you need anything else...
Thanks!

question #2
Dear all_ignition,

so its not a chinese knock off?I have already bought and recieved my distributor. It looks really nice.I have yet to install it but as you know people talk trash and I have heard some bad things about your business on ebay and not selling actual "acdelco" optisparks even though they are advertised as such.why did the optispark not come in an acdelco box? just curious.I have yet to install the unit so the jurys still out.You have excellant feedback on ebay and that is why I decided to trust you and will continue to until proven wrong.

Dear jusjimbo,

The distributor is the standard OEM replacement part, it is made by the AC Delco Factory.
Thanks!

You have a 50/50 chance with it. My thought is that is it doesnt say ac/delco it isnt ac/delco. Here is a quick check for you. Is the rubber sealing ring installed on the cap you got? It goes around the surface were the cap meets the base. If its not there its a kock off.

I bought mine from them. I still have yet any trouble from it even after puking antifreeze all over my opti. Then again only time will tell! The packaging was kind of the best I've seen too. Cut out foam in the shape of the optispark.

I emailed them about their opti and they claim it is a genuine ac delco opti that they buy in bulk without caps and rotors and that the cap and rotor is one that they make. They say their cap is better than stock as it has brass terminals. I think I may get one as my opti has decided that it wants to be replaced soon.

Well I hope you have good results because I went ahead and ordered one today.

I know the thread is old as hell, but how'd the opti turn out for you?
