Hey everyone, I'm new here at LS1LT1.com but not new to F-body's or high performance cars in general. I currently own a 1996 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 in Dark Green Metallic. It has some go fast parts but I hope to continue to add to it and learn from the members of the forum. I can also add some information as I am a certified auto technician with most of my on the job training coming from working at Ford dealers.

Sounds good to me, we used to have meets at the Steak N' Shake in Tinley Park but they stopped those. They have one right next door at Applebee's but it has limited parking.

I am trying to think if there is a place around Kankakee or Bradley/Bourbonnais that has an empty lot or an agreeable business owner. Any thoughts? Maybe the Kankakee river state park?

The State park is nice and would be cool. Not sure how it works with meeting at businesses. Although sometimes in the summer I'll see guys (ricers) hangin at different spots late at night.

I think the state park shuts down at dusk, so a night time meet probably wouldn't work. However a Saturday/Sunday during the day/afternoon would be ok and shouldn't cost anything. As long as we are being respectful of the park and the other people there we shouldn't get tossed out or be bothered.

As far as the ricer meets, I wouldn't go near them with a 50 foot pole, someone might associate us with them hahaha

Funny ! Yeah, the looks they tend to give when riding by them is definitely "unique". But I agree, prolly wouldn't have much trouble just hangin without bein "too loud"

Thanks Jpack, as far as too loud I would say something like blaring subwoofers. I would think cars coming and going would be ok. As far as a cookout goes I'm down haha
