It was one month ago that I purchased a black, 1995 Z-28, T-tops, 6-spd manual, 3.42 gear. Original owner, 25K, garage kept. Gave me the original window sticker. My wife will drive it to school and back (16 miles RT) from April through October and then to the heated garage with the others. I also have a dark blue 1981 Z-28 of which I am the original owner, along with two 1971 Monte Carlos (one SS454). My family Astro has the IL. plate "CHVY MAN". I love chevys, and I must say that this Z28 is a blast to drive; miles ahead of the '81. I went to NAPA to get a rear end cover gasket for the my Astro and I thought I'd get one for the new Z. To my surprise the parts guy said they are the same. I got on the internet and saw your site and see that the rear end is the weak link. Now every time we drive the car I am thinking about the posts I read. Oh well, thanks for all the info. and I'll check the posts regularly. A friend is the national sales mgr. for Detroit Locker and if something happens, he'll be waiting in the wings !!! George
