I am in process of doing a headgasket change for my first time...lol this is my first 93-03 fbody...man talk about things not going easy and to plan...only good thing so far is no bolts broke off in the heads on either side...

I used PB blaster penetrating oil for two straight days before i began...

I still broke 4 out of the 6 studs on stock exhaust manifolds detaching the y-pipe and rear exhaust..I want to repair the studs with the manifolds off and out of the car...

Ok..I have searched and searched lt1 forums and google..does the passenger side come out the bottom or the top...

I got the driver side out through the bottom after taking oil filter off and oil pan sensor out and breaking heatshield off...

I already have all the exhaust manifold bolts to my head out to the passenger side...I have the alternator off and brace...what else has to be done to get it out...any help thanks...

i lossened my motor mount and jacked the motor up just a little bit and it could have went either way but i went in from the top on the passenger side.
