I made it to the track last Sat to try out new parts to see if it's faster. It was a nice day, sunny with temps early on in the low 50's with a starting DA of about 700. It took me four runs to get tire pressure and shocks dialed in. The Hoosier tires I like better because even if it spins they regain traction much faster than the Mickey's ever did. By the time I had it dialed in the DA was about 1900 with temps in the low 70's. I was pretty happy, car still ran a 10.904 @ 123.54. According to my ET prediction software running against last years runs the car should have run 11.07. So my trap speed is up and 60ft times are at a new best of 1.475 unfortunately the DA did not cooperate for a new PB.

Curious on where you had the shock settings compared to mine.
Three clicks. If I want to do pull the wheels higher I run them at zero.

Went back to track this past Sat to try one more time before I call it ready for season. Temps were in mid 50's so the car ran a little better than last week. Pulled a new best of 10.85 with a 1.46 sixty foot time and ran 10.8s all day.

Car looks great, Dave! That is some good psi in the tires, nice! I loved doing a quick haze of the tires then yanking the front wheels on a street night. Makes people ask questions :lol:
I know what ya mean. I still pop my hood all the time and leave it open to show it's not an LSx. That really throws them. :cool:

I've always wanted to try open headers at the track but driving it there then dropping the cat back and y pipe at the track then putting it back to drive home was not worth it. So, I dropped the cat back at home loaded it on the trailer and hit the track. First run with y-pipe 10.87 DA was only 90 best one I've ever seen. I thought that sucks what a waist of time. So I made another run this time 10.85, still disappointed. Now I took the y-pipe off and ran a 10.84 a new best but still come on. Decided to hit it one more time and boom 10.78 @ 124 DA was 500ish. Now that's better. Since the car's getting faster all day I said one more time, 10.81 @124 DA climbed to 1200ish by this time. Best with full exhaust was 10.85 @123 vs. open headers 10.78 @124.

Yanking the trans out today :( let the part out commence. That and my dad ruptured his Achilles so no days off till he's back :(
It's because I'm faster huh?
