Ok I need some help here. Have had some work done on Lt1 in our 95 Camaro and need to get the PCM to reconise the mods. Have been emailing carputing.com and have found a dyno tuner who has cable to copy the PCM file for edit.
Have worked out that it has an OBD11 connection for cable but carputing need me to find the id number on the PCM to work out if it is an OBD11 or OBD1. i'v had a look at the PCM but can't find any numbers or label to id it. Can someone give me an idea where to look on PCM or whether it's got to be taken out to find details.
They are saying it should be OBD1 and therefore need OBD11 style cable using OBD1 lt1 edit, Tried this at dyno tuners yesterday with the read software from their site and this is the error received -
C:\LEANNE.LT1
CONNECTED TO PCM
READING TO FLASH FILE
NO SYNC UP
SECURITY BYTES = Ox ff, Ox ff
FAILED SECURITY
FAILED CMND 05
FAILED CMND 06
Mfgid bytes = Ox ff , Ox ff
Dump add r = Ox O (1st pass)
Any help with this would be great.
