need to remove the hatch trim plastic to get to shock absorber towers my shop manual does not have a diagram showing the trim panel retention screws location. Rather than bust the trim panels thought I'd ask as the 93z28 is usually different.

The coat hanger hooks, there is a small notch on the bottom of the center pin. Pry there to release the pin and that will allow the trim to be removed. You also have to remove the large black torx bolt that the rear seat latches to. The door sill/kick trim and rear hatch trim has to come out first to get the sail panels out and they you just pull the carpet back to expose the top of the shocks. There may be foam pieces covering them. I think I am usually able to just yank the carpet from under the sail panels and expose the shocks. Quick and easy way to get it done :)

And for future reference, don't forget the exploded diagrams in the 4th gen parts books, located in sticky threads of 4th gen section.
