If gas prices stay at or above $3 a gallon. I will be doing an LT1/T56 swap next winter instead of a 383 build up.

yeah we were actually thinking about running the camaro on alcohol it's cheaper than gas and the car will make twice as much power but it'll go alot faster than gas

I talked about this in another thread. My '89 RS convertible is getting completely redone with all new suspension , interior , a '99 LS1/T56 ,and alot more stuff to boot . There won't be anything left of the original car except the body.

I'm going to stay fairly mild with the LS1. I bought a 224/224/114 cam , new LS6 intake and stainless steel headers with Random hi flow cats. The car has to pas emmissions so no radical stuff there. The interior will have 2000 SS seats I bought and new carpet. I also have an idea of redoing the dash pad in fiberglass resin ( it has a small crack in it), painting it body color and extending the rally stripes. My body shop guy is pretty good at doing custom stuff like that.

I drive the car daily, have two in college with another awaiting, so nothing wild planned here.

Near-term plans are to box the LCAs and get the poly bushings in the rear suspension.

Long term, I'd love a T56 or similar, with a 12-bolt to handle the punishment that would bring. Maybe 3.75" stroke after that.
