Nice write up....I think it would really help to have pics of measuring backlash and a correct gear mesh pattern. If you have not done it before, it may not make any sense to some people. Good job though.

That is about as detailed as it gets. I am considering doing my rear, and that just made me feel pretty confident that I can do it. I just need the pullers/installers for the bearings and races, as I imagine that makes life much simpler.

AWESOME Write-up.

What a great write up. I am smart enough to know that is waaaay beyond me. How long should an average install take w/ t/c done by a professional so I know what I am in for. Too bad you are 10 hours away.

Book time is around 5 IIRC. I would say average is 3.5 - 4 hours. Actually miss doing them on a neasr daily basis

Thanks for the reply. Now I have an idea what it should cost. Too bad your so far b/c I would let you miss them a little less. Now I need to find the calculator chart somewhere so I can see what rpms I will be spinning @ 70. Right now it's about 1800 rpms. My t/a may get better milage then my dd 01 Maxima? Im sure it would be a different car w/ 3.73s in it.
