You're right, they do look like the SLP's...

Be careful... They're not a D-port flange. Make sure they seal to the head if using factory aluminum (F-body or Y-body) heads.

Those don't resemble the SLP shorties at all, which I used to have. These have thinner flanges, smaller tubes, don't have the #8 cyl dumped directly into the collector.
They look more like the AS&M shorties, although again, thinner flanges and smaller tubes.
As KW alluded and I agree, they really only make sense if your local emissions laws require the cat's to remain in the stock position, AND if the headers are emissions-certified, which the SLP's were.
Performance-wise, I'd venture to say they'll give up very little to any longtube design up to about the 400 crank hp level.
