SOME ONE HELP I HAVE A 93 TRANS AM. FOR THE LAST THREE MONTHS MY MOTOR HAS STARTED TO MISS A LITTLE, AND HAS NO POWER UNDER 2500 RPM. BUT WHEN I GET OVER 2500 RPM I CLEARS UP. AND SOME TIMES WHEN I AM RACING AT HIGH RPM IT WILL MISS ALOT. CAN SOME ONE HELP ME, I HAVE CHECKED EVERY THING FROM THE VACUM TO THE KNOCK SENSER,THE ENGINE IS A VERY STRONG, BUT I NEED THIS FIXED AND HOPING SOMEONE OUT THERE HAS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AND KNOWS HOW TO FIX IT.

i would first check wires, plugs, and IAC. but it sounds like your opti is on the way out ... sorry

Yup sounds like your opti possibly. You siad you've checked plugs and wires? Also how many miles are on the car? And when was the last time you ran some injector cleaner though it? I'd look into the bit cheaper things and see if they help at all, but chances are its the opti. If you got any questions feel free to give us a hola.

Well, what codes is it throwing? They are quite helpful in a diagnosis. Hell you're 93, you can flash codes with your SES light and a freakin paper clip! you're lucky!

I too would check plugs and especially wires first. Raise yer hood up at night and look for any arcing along the plug wires. I'd check fuel pressure too. How long since you changed the fuel filter??

I have new plugs good fuel pressure, and a new filter. I wish i could fix this. we bult this motor six months. I am going to replace the dreaded opty spark :banghead:
