I am wanting to install freescan on my laptop and when I go to the andy whittaker web site and click on freescan it goes nowhere. Is it my computer or the website or am I even going to the right place? If anyone has an idea I'd be happy to hear it.

Go to the 4th gen section. In the sticky threads at top, look for thread titled "obd1 scan program for free". Click the link, it will take you to 3 different obd1 scan programs. Scan9495 by our member GaryDoug. DataMaster- the free trial version. And Freescan.

Scan9495 is very good because it's the only affordable obd1 program that scans for regular codes, does running sensor scans. And scans for ABS and SIR codes.

DataMaster comes with 20 free Data scans and unlimited data playback. It's good because it logs sensor readings to a file that can be played back in real time. You can even upload a data file to a file sharing site and link it back to forum so members can help you with your data readings.
