My car is an 82 Indy Pace car, 17440 original miles, but someone put a big block chevy into it about 1987, well I took it out and rebilt it for hiperformance use. engine is 4 bolt 454 bored to 467", steel crank, steel rods, floating pins, forged pistons 10.25 comp. balanced ass. GM performance aluminum heads ported and flowed, oversizedstainless valves, crane cam and kit ass. 228-228 at .050, 550 lift, 210 centers, hydra lifters, L-88 push rods and springs, gold roller rockers ,real hooker headers, one of the last sets made by hooker himself for his own car serial# 007. equal length primarys for a big block in a camaro. Crane custom one off crank trigger ignition with totaly adjustable timing computor, runs a map for the ignition alone. Griffin rad. reverse rotation hi-flow aluminum water pump, remote lube filter FMOC, MSD hi volume fuel pump and filter, SX FRP,---- now the induction system could use some serious up grading, it is an 850 double pumper Holley carb. ugh! on an Edelbrock performer manifold ugh! I would like to see custom sheet metal intake with fuel injection and aftermarket standalone engine management system. --- trans. is a 700R4 bilt heavy duty? rear end is GM dana 44, posi, 3.92 ratio, discs all around, adjustable gas dampers, panard bar, I use it mostly on the street and show. but of course its fun to drive tires are always smoking and sidways, top speed is fun too. 6300rpm in overdrive figures about 175mph. thanks RON

Welcome. The car sounds sweet, though that cam is small for a 454!
