fuel filter shoudl be if its liek most other Gm cars down near the back along the body somewhere. just follow the fuel lines. you will find it. AS for changing the pump. You need to drop the entires rear end and the tank to get to the pump. its not a fun experiance. though on your car it might not be as bad cause it shouldnt be rusted together like my car was.
well i was thinkin of just cutting a hole
Don't cut a hole in the car...its not that much trouble to drop the tank. These cars weren't designed to have a big hole cut out of the back deck. IMO don't cut holes in a unibody car.

i didn't know you had to drop the tank to get to the filter. then again i've never changed mine.

no

drop the tank to get the pump

the filter is inline, its on the driver side near the rear wheel-well
I would put a mechanical fuel pressure guage on it and see if it is making any pressure.
as said before the fuel filter is on the drivers side up against the body near the back, simple set of open end wrenches will get that knocked out in 10-15 mins...

as for the fuel pump get under the car near the back and have a friend turn the key to the on position without starting it, you should be able to hear the pump turn on... if not, thats where your trouble is...

good luck
