dart is making there break into the LSx world with a new casting, flow numbers are on par with the big boys and the best part... LOOK AT THE PRICE!!!!!

1280 gets you these!!! thats half what i paid for my AFR 205's :(

i might be switching up brands if the dyno results and track times prove to be as good...

read up on em dude... not just great flow numbers...
they are also small CC ports. and AFR showed us EXACTLY why you want that...

port velocity. so these things flow big(even as cast) and have killer port velocity. the design of the combustion chamber looks very good (expected from DART ) and for the price of AFR heads you can get these and have them hand finished...

the only thing that remains is for a few vendors to try them out and see if they are the real deal...
If they perform on par with AFR and hand blended 5.3's then other companies will HAVE to lower there prices... ;) (except of cource for ET because they are geared toward race cars)

I had this head in my hands a few hours ago, and it was an un-assembled piece at that so I got to poke and prod an actual head.

Very nice looking chambers, water passages are same size as production (not an issue as thought), weight is similar to stock, looking it over they took a CNC production head they liked and had it cast.

It is a very quality casting and should make great power. Deffinitely a value for the dollar.

So would these need to be hand finished to make good power or can you just bolt them on out of the box and pick up what you'd normally pick up with any other good head (or even pick up as much as you would with a great head like AFRs)?

I've got a 221/221 .558/.558 112+4 cam on my stock cid LS1. I'm wondering how much power and drop in ET I could expect with out-of-the-box Dart LS1 heads. I know very little about head information, I really need to learn some things. Just wondering if these would be the way to go for a good head for somoene on a budget.

With your cam the 205's would work nicely.

TEA and AFR throw out stuff like 40rwhp gains over my stock 853 castings. Could I expect similar gains with the Dart 205s? I'm at 335rwhp right now. With a pulley and LS6 intake I'm hoping for 355rwhp. With heads I'd like to be close to 400rwhp. Then maybe a few little small things to put me up and over that (I think 400rwhp + stalled A4 is a good combo). :) I'd really be looking for 380-390, but I'd like to make the same power the big auto cam only cars are making with much better street manners. I know heads are my ticket for most of that power I'm looking to make.

I'd say that 390 should be easily attainable.

Then I'm just an EWP or slightly bigger cam away from 400rwhp, but I'd like to keep the little MTI T1 cam, keep it old school. The little bitty thing sounds alot bigger than it really is and I like the choppier idle but the driveability of the smaller cam.

Better question, would a FAST 78 or FAST 90 setup give me those 10 extra horses over the LS6 intake to get me my 400rwhp goal?

gomer from LS1Tech does my tuning by the way, so I'm in good hands on that front.

should be a SICK car raven... make sure he makes a trip up to the farm and we can set the actual measurements on his suspention up... (which we still need to do for yours so bring yours up too) i think that may have had more to do with your traction issues the last time out then anything...
i think the preload set on your drag sway bar was wronge...
