Looking for a F-Body that's still in top condition but not interested in paying the big money that comes with a low mileage version? This is it! For Sale: 1999 Pontiac Trans Am Firehawk (Carefully driven for 114,000 miles).
This magnificent, well-kept 1999 SLP Firehawk is a rare find. With a build date of 4-19-1999 this Firehawk was #349 out of #720 made that year and only 23 Built in Pewter Metallic/Auto/T-Tops. I am currently the second local owner of the vehicle purchased at CarMax Auto Superstore in Richmond Virginia on 2/16/2003. This car has long list of standard features and optional equipment including 4-speed auto transmission, performance axle ratio, traction control, ram air, leather interior, Monsoon CD sound system, t-tops, power driver seat (passenger lumbar), power windows, power door locks and keyless entry.
Original SLP Firehawk options include composite cold air induction hood, three inch stainless steel intermediate pipe and over the axle pipe, larger diameter front sway bar and bushings, rear jounce bumper spacer, panhard bar, Firehawk plaque (on ashtray) and body graphics (on doors and rear).
Only slight modifications have been made over the years:
Replaced the original 17’ five spoke aluminum alloy wheels, with 17 X 8.5’ five spoke chrome Corvette Rims (no flag emblems on wheels). These are riding on a set of fairly new Firestone Firehawk Wide-Oval tires with lots of good tread life left. Replaced the original SLP Power Flo muffler, two 2" inch outer diameter tailpipes with twin dual tips with a SLP Loud Mouth Cat-Back Exhaust System with 3.5” Slash-Cut Tips. Ported Throttle Body, 160 Thermostat.
Professional Engine Performance Tune – Completed by Performance By Joe (St Louis, MO) in the Spring of 2010.
This car is garaged kept and was ONLY driven to and from work from 2002-2008. Since 2008, the car was transported from Richmond, VA to where I live now in St Louis, MO and hasn’t seen a drop of rain since. In fact, I have only put less than 1000 miles on it over the last 4 ½ years. I have NEVER taken this car to the “track” and have maintained a very conservative driving style (despite the tempting horse power).
This Firehawk is a great find for someone looking for a modern day muscle car that is fun, unique, and will not break the bank! It certainly has plenty of life left in it and it still starts and performs as well as the day I originally purchased it.
