Well, we finally got Jen into the 9s! This is what she posted on her message board!

We just got home tonight from a weekend of Citgo Bracket Racing. I had planned on running into the 9 second range and possibly becoming one of (if not) the first female in the 9 second club with a stock LS1 short block. On a 135 shot, I ran a 9.971 @ 136.07 and backed it up with a 9.948 @ 136.63! I am so happy! :D Next season I will be switching to a 408 that will run a 9 second pass N/A. This weekend, my stock short block LS1 was running mid-10.60's all weekend long. The announcer kept calling it the wheelie Camaro, everyone got excited to see a female racing it. My crew chief will have video's up hopefully tomorrow night and possibly a picture of my N/A wheelies. I ended up with a second place in the trophy class, I had to give up 1st to my friend to back up my 9 second pass.

Here are the timeslips:

Here are the videos to her two passes

... and five7kid, you had a great year in 2004. We would be honored with your past season results. :)

Yeah, thanks. It's the old bracket racing thing - do you want to go fast, or win? Of course, we all want to go fast, but when you're out-raced by an 18 sec car, it's a little embarrassing.

2004 was definately an up-&-down year. Certainly ended on an "up", except I kept running that last race over and over in my head, saying, "Why didn't you hit the brakes at the traps like you had planned, you idiot?!?!?" Finally, I had to start reminding myself I lost the final round by same margin I won the first round.

This August I got paired with an 8-sec rail with box in the finals of a jackpot race in the Super Chevy Show here. I actually treed him, hit the brakes half-way through the traps because he was still "way back", and he blew by me to take the stripe. Grrrrr!!!!!

That's bracket racing....
