I've heard the S2k shifter is one of the best factory shifters out there, I don't know anybody that has one though.Phoenix57 said:i really like the T-56 as well as the S2K standard. my 4L60E is good so far, but its supposed to be a hard tranny to build up reliably
A little off topic but some kid at the locla gas station other night was in a brand new S2K tryed to show off (keep in mind there are 5 f-bodies parked) and rode his clutch sooo bad on the take off i was embarassed for him.Vendetta said:I've heard the S2k shifter is one of the best factory shifters out there, I don't know anybody that has one though.
Word from tranny builders is that the Borg-Warner T-56s in the LT1-powered F-cars has a few stronger key parts than the Tremec T-56 in the LS1-powered cars. I wouldn't know though, I've never even owned one yet.contraststriker said:I like 95-97 T-56's. I think those are the years built to handle 450 ft-lbs? I've heard that the T-56's in LS1s are actually a bit weaker than their LT1 counterparts, because they came from a different manufacturer. ???
