wondering if anyone knows a good fix to my problem.

I changed my o2 sensors 2 nights ago. when I was taking off the y pipe I broke one of the studs that are welded into the passenger side manifold flange. anyone know anything I can do to get rid of the exhaust leak without having to pull out the whole manifold? I only need it sealed for a couple weeks then I can smog and put in my new headers/exhaust.

The studs may seem welded in, but they are screwed in. If there is anything left to grab, you can usually get it out by heating the stud with a torch to cherry red then quenching it with water (may take a few times). If broken off flush, it will have to be drilled out.

fixed it. for anyone with the same problem.

I jacked up the ypipe until the exhaust manifold flange and the ypipe flange closed completely then I put a c clamp in there. im only going to have it in for another month so this saves me the trouble of having to take out the whole manifold. hope it helps.

You need to heat only the stud. A heat gun is not going to be able to focus that narrowly. Plus, I don't think it will be hot enough.
