I was thinking the other day...I am on my 4th motor, 3rd tranny, and 2nd rear end since I got this car. Got the car with the stock 305 LG4, 700r4, 3.23.

1. stock 305/stock 700r4/stock 3.23
2. stock 305/rebuilt 700r4/stock 3.23
3. new 355/rebuilt 700r4/stock 3.23
4. new 383/rebuilt 700r4/stock 3.23
5. new 383/new th350/stock 3.23
6. new 383/new th350/new 3.73 posi rear end
7. new 406/new th350/new 3.73 posi rear end

Anyone else changing things around this much???:eek:

Haven't changed engines much, but I've gone thru 5 different head/cams configurations the last 7 years. Gone thru 4 T-5s. Same rear end though, just new gears.

355/t-5/3.23
355/t-5/2.73 posi

and the t-5 was on its way out when i crashed the car

the GTA will go something like this hopefully

350/700r4/3.27 posi
355/700r4/3.27 posi
355/T-56/3.27 posi

hmm.
car had a stock 350 with a powerglide when i bought it
swapped to a th350 trans
built up a .040 over 350 for it
then swapped to a muncie 4 speed
now its down for a 454 and a t-56 ford 9" buildup swap

i think i missed one or two things in ther ebut thats the gist of it
