My car is throwing an EGR code, im assuming from my exhaust setup? Would deleting the egr solve this? And are there any other pros to buying to block off plates, since there so cheap I just thought why not.
EGR plates do not change the computers interpretation of the EGR valve. I tricked my 93 unhooked vacume from EGR solenoid to Valve and installed plates with form a gasket high temp. Used vacume block off caps where vacume to EGR valve was the source to EGR solenoid is still hooked up. The computer sees it there and no errors or reductions in timing due to removal. Don't know if 94-97 have to be tuned out in the computers tune by a programmer or if this will work.
Top of the car play superman on the engine and chop a 1/2" or 9/16" wrench in half to turn the bolts on a 93 z28. Use a good heat and gasoline proof RTV or permatex form a gasket so no vacume leaks. If the EGR valve gets stuck in partially open position idle sucks and car runs rough this can be fixed with carb cleaner and a new gasket pull valve clean insides with carburetor cleaner until frees up do not get carb cleaner on the rubber diaphram.
