Are there any known problems that happen as a result of deleting these 2 things? I had a friend delete mine a few weeks ago with HP tuners and LOVE the fact that I don't hear that whiny AIR motor coming on when I start the car. I have'nt removed anything yet though, because i'm waiting on a friend of mine to get the plates made up to cover up everything. The only negative i've heard so far about doing this, is that it shortens the life of your cats :dontknow: I plan on doing headers and an off road pipe soon anyway, so that's not a big deal. Just wondered if there is anything else?

P.S. Will removing the EGR help any with performance?

just do the !CATS mod as well :) i just recently did !EGR and i decided to make the block off plates myself w/ a dremel, a drill and some 16ga steel...which was a big mistake. so im waiting to order the AIR block offs and finish up. ive had both turned off with LS1edit for almost a year now though

AIR is a system only for your cats, so if u get rid of them then AIR serves no purpose. I got rid of EGR and AIR when i put my headers and ORY on. and i noticed u have a Hooker catback, those sound good with or without cats.

if u can survive in louisiana without A/C be my guest. i know that i saved a shitload of weight when i went from full emmisions and stock exhaust to LTs, ORY and !egr and !AIR. id venture to guess nearly 60lbs

Thats why i have a suburban with icy cold AC too ;)

all the AC stuff droped about 45 lbs... i hear tell that the heater coil and all will drop another 75 lbs!!!
i will be trying this on the WS6 over the winter(since it hardly sees any road time in the winter anyways...) probably replace it with a plug in car heater that the jeep guys use :D
my goal is when you look in the car you see a clean ride with nice race seats and cage, but other then that apears stock....
but for the scales to say something TOTALLY differant
