I was wondering if there were any tips or tricks that I can do to up my odds of winning anything at a car show. My car is def. a 10 footer. If you get up close to the front bumper, there are bugs permanently imprinted in the bumper, there is a tear in the driver front seat (from previous fat guy sliding into the seat), the dash pad has a crack (can cover with summit or hotrod mazazine hat), and there are 2 tiny hail damage dents in a quarter panel. Thats all the damage and stuff wrong with the car.

The 2009 Midwest Corvette and Chevy show is this weekend.

1) what class should I enter into?
2) what should I do to prepare for the show besides just clean/wax/vacuum?

Maybe there are some things that you can point out that I wouldn't have thought of.

The coolest thing I have seen so far this year, is guys cleaning the hell outta their rides at the house and before driving to the event wrapping the front end in saran wrap, when they get to the show just remove the wrap and you have no bugs to keep getting off.

As for the small dents "paintless dent repair" - costs only about $100 to remove all the dents out of most cars.

The crack in the dashpad can be fixed by a plastic repair kit available in most auto parts stores.

As for the tear in the seat, try a leather repair kit .. they work miracles and are available through the Eastwood company

Is the crack in the dash pad or the dash panel? The panel can be replaced in about 10 mins for about $200.00. The Florida sun destroyed mine, it was cracked in about 10 places.

Hmm, so next time I was my car I'll just cover it up in wrap and then I'll be good for a while

That is a good idea, and X2 on the Billy replacement.

I always spray the wheel wells with tire gloss if I don't have time to clean them. Presentation can help too...I also put my ram air hood at half mast...cock the wheels a little...whip off the exhaust tips....it got 1st place the other day in a local car show.

I recently bought myself a new car and I always wanted to keep it clean, since the car was the first one, I didn’t know what tools to take for care initially. It’s good that a friend advised using a glass microfiber cloth when washing Glass microfiber towels | Best microfiber cloth for windows which perfectly absorbs water, does not leave streaks and is perfectly adapted for washing and quick drying. I recommend using.
