drove it all day yesterday on the back roads with my buddies drove just fine, probaly put 200 miles on it. I woke up this morning and drove 10miles to kmart again drove just fine. got out of kmart 15mins later got in the car started up then shortly after died, immediately the same thing happened, however i was able to keep it running by hitting the gas alil. i started to drive home and while driving 45mph the car started dying on me, went to about 200rpm it smashed the gas and the car literally woke back up and started running fine. i got it to my house left her running and opened the hood for about 15mins messing with the throttle and letting it idle. I could not make it die or even drop RPM of course.
sounds to me like a fuel related issue, the guy i bought it from said the FPR was going bad but i cant find a damn thing wrong with it. No smells of gas, no leaking etc. I have a Fuel filter, fuel line (mine is messed up on the back of the fuel filter) spark plugs, FPR all on there way oddly enough i ordered all this prior to it dying on me. (got the car from a buddy he's always poor and never up keeps the vehicles luckly he didn't have this one for long)
The only thing ive changed prior to driving yesturday was i removed the screen from the MAF being careful not to touch the wires. and after driving for 200 miles yesturday without any probaly i can't imagine this being the problem.
Basically im asking if anyone has had a similiar probaly to this? if so what was the problem?
Thanks,
Matt
