When i shift my car to reverse the fuse blows instantly causing me to ride without turn signals as well but as longs as i dont have to put the car in reverse the fuse will not blow this is a 1996 camaro z28

I suggest you unplug the back up light switch on transmission to see if problem stops. If yes go to BBB Industries- Premium Alternators, Starters, Power Steering Products and download wiring diagram for lights. shbox.com also might have the diagram, but first link definitely has diagrams.

first check the switch itself for a short then follow wiring and find the short.

Im having the same issue with my 95 T/A, how do I unplug it from the tranny?

Depends on if you have auto or manual trans. Manual trans has 2 cavity connector on passenger side of trans. Brown wire and light green wire.

Auto has back up lights activated by position switch attached to shifter mechanism. Remove the light green wire at connector cavity D.

i'd gamble that it's a dead short in a reverse light bulb, replace 'em both and see if that fixes it.
