I have a '93 Trans Am. The ABS INOP light comes on whenever I top 7 MPH (IE, I can drive 20' or 20 miles at 6 MPH but it's not until I get up to 7 MPH that the light comes on). EBCM is showing these two error codes -

24 - Rear Wheel Speed = 0
28 - Rear Excessive Wheel Speed Variation

I recently had Nitto tires put on my car as well as 373 gears, so I'm assuming the ABS problem is somehow related to all that. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
-Mark

Sounds like the rear sensor went bad. I had the same issue but it was the driver side front sensor. You can unplug the sensor and check the resistance to see if it is really bad before replacing. Good Luck

I think the rear wheel sensor might be OK (or at least that's what the guys at Goodyear said when I brought it up there). I'll double-check it, though.

Is it possible that the new (3:73) rear-end gears could be confusing the ABS computer into generating false DTCs?

Thanks,
