I Have a 1996 Z28. I was reading about how 15 inch wheels fit the LT1s better. I also saw that the best backspacing for for a 7",8" and a 10" width were, 4.5,5.5,7.5 respectively. Does this matter for clearing the caliper? or is it to make the tire tuck properly. I was wondering because i was interested in getting some of Bassets DOT approved racing wheel (https://www.summitracing.com/parts/bsw-57rc375/overview/) Looks like the most backspacing I can get for the 7" width is 3.75, or 5.00 for the 8" width.
