I just bought a tsp rumbler cat back exhaust for my 97 LT1 formula my question is since this car is basically going to be a fun strip car for the weekends can I remove the catalytic converter without running into any problems with the computer ? is their sensors that plug into the catalytic converter on a 97 LT1?

best way to tune an OBD-II once you start removing emissions stuff:

- obd-i ecm $100 (hawks third gen)
- tunercat definition $30
- cable $60 (aldlcables)
- resistor for the knock sensor: $0.50

you can have it all converted clean in less than an hour, costs about as much as a mail order tune, but you gain total control over it yourself
