Just recently built my motor, stock on a 96 LT1 SLP model. In 96 of course they added dual cats from the exhaust manifold down to the Y pipe into a single exhaust output. Since most are single cat, how can I make it work with a 96 OBDII dual cat?
Sorry for the unclear post there, I'm looking for a set of dual cat headers for my 1996 LT1, unfortunately for me it's the model year where it has one catalytic converter right off the exhaust manifold on the driver side and then another one downstream for the passenger side. I need to stay emissions legal and i would be perfectly fine switch to a single cat setup, however I would need information on how to do that. Are there any headers out there for the dual cat setup that show some performance gain?
