When u turn the car to the on position you hear the fuel pump go on then off? Not. Sure what all the cleaning entailed... Maybe unplugged injector or two, or plugged in wrong
Yes, the fuel pump sounds like its running. If something was plugged in wrong, would the car still have run ok when i picked it up? It ran fine when i brought it home. How can I check some of this out myself before having it towed back to them?
Can you smell any raw fuel after cranking it? What exactly did they mess with while doing the fuel system cleaning?
If they did the work and the car ran fine before you SHOULD have them tow it back to their shopand fix what they may have messed up. Messing with it yourself could void any warrenty (if there is one) on the work because they can say YOU messed with something and that's why the car won't run. Just a thought.

Jimmi, Did you touch anything at all on the car, when you got home you just shut it off and went inside??? As long as you are being straight with us,then I would call the garage and let them know the situation. Someone from the shop may be familiar with this and just come out and do the repair in your
driveway. Believe me, once you start doing things under the hood or anywhere else, their good intentions will close up like a scared clam. ed
Fully agree with you guys.. and you should let them know immediately.. on the flip side I.cant count how many times I've had completely unrelated thing happen and think.. really.. I had it happen just last week with a furnace... Limit sensor then 3 days later the blower.. weird crap can happen and can just be coincidence.. but don't mess with anything they did or void anything if they are willing to tow it for ya.
Thanks for all of the suggestions guys. I was able to get it running long enough to take it back to them this morning (died 5 times on the way). They looked at it, and said it had good fuel pressure. Then, while checking wires and hoses while car was running, the mechanic moved a wire going to the opti and the car died instantly. Repeated with same results. They said the contacts were dirty and wire wasnt firmly connected. They cleaned contacts and replaced wire. Car seems to be running fine now. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for all your help.
Good to hear! Another LT1 soilder back on the streets!

As far as I am aware,I believe there is only one wire that is attached to the opti distributor and that is the opti wiring harness. If thats the case
I may buy a new harness and install it. I believe they cost under $30. ed
