Super uber-rare ZL1.

A great piece of history!

I always wondered how these supercars ended up with the crapo wheels and hubcaps, but I'm sure they were meant to be replaced with racing wheels at the time...

In my life.... i would never buy a car that i would not drive.....

you know what? i take it back... if i was bill gates i WOULD buy this car...

then as soon as i got the keys i would performs the sweetest of 3 gear burnouts on this guys driveway and leave hangen the ass end out drifting ......

i totally hear u ...but i guess for some people they really want the bragging rights or maybe it has some sentimental value....but considering the time period that car has some serious HP i think thats a very very impresive peice of machinery

I think we need ot understand that a car like this goes beyond juist a car... it's an investment first and foremost, but also a unique piece of history...

MOney invested in rare classic cars over the last 10 years have given some of the greatest returns of any investment over that time frame.

I agree it is more of a time capsule of motorsport really, it was the first of so many things for chevrolet. In the eyes of a car buff and automotive historian, there is no finer example of Muscle Car than the ZL-1.

The price, I suppose its worth what people are willing to pay for it. Not having looked or in the market for something like this, I wouldn't have guessed anywhere near 850k as a going rate. Then again I'm no Barrett Jackson.

Well that car is one of 7 ever made. Two of them had automatics, and the other five were manuals.

Whats shocking to me is that this car is 20 minutes drive from our shop.

If I remember right, the last time a 1969 Corvette ZL-1 sold, it sold for $3 million.... I think this was 10 years ago or so.

It is one of TWO built, and, I believe the only one known to still exist. (Imagine finding the other in a barn somewhere! )
