I will get a fourth gen eventually but when I get alot of money and become cool I'm gonna make a 800hp single turbo thirdgen........but thats just me :D
my vote goes for 4th gen just because of the mullet denim jacket reputation that comes along with a 3rd gen
IROC-Z > LT1 Camaro >>>>>>>>> LS1 Camaro(visually only of course), IMO. I dont like the front ends on the 98+ Camaros.

Give it another 10 years. 2nd gens were the mullet machines of the 90s.

Then our cars will be coming in the classic category. Hell, my 85 will be 30 years old(so will I :( ). Having a year born car is cool.
nice debate! im a 3rd gen guy and ill admit they have their downfalls but you have to get a good looking one. my fav is the 91-91 z28's because of the ground fx and the aero package. i dont think you can beat it looks wise...period. the mullet thing comes with the car but so does the "turd pinched off early" apperance with the 93-97 4th gens :p the lt1's and ls1's are nice motors and if i had one im sure id dump money into it and be fast as hell but a genI sbc is so much easier to work on. ThrashN said it right, 4th gen = Geo storm on steriods...a lot of steriods!!! NOW on the other hand...while im a bigger fan of camaros overall id drop my 91 z in a heartbeat if i came across a black with black leather 2000+ T/A with the Ram Air and WS6 packages. those cars are beautiful!!! the firebirds are so much better looking then the camaros after 98. oh, id take a 35th anniversary SS too but only if it were free :D
yeah that car does look like its been beaten with an ugly stick  It makes me think when I get an F-body should I get a WS6 instead of a SS
"turd pinched off early" ... thats the single funniest comparison i have ever heard
this is great

i never heard that one before
lol ive heard pointy but never anything like that haha
.

i have a 99 ta w6 so maybe my opinion dont count for much, but i have had both a 84-85 z28 ......both came with a weak ass 305 that a honda civic would blow away......i ended up w/a 350 in both when i just couldent stand the weak 305s :thumbdown
i dont think they handel as well as my 4th gen and sure dont look as good as my TA.
Well, i love the 3rd generation specially the Iroc models, they always look great but i'm also very fong of the 93/97 4th Gen. model, the look realy mean.. and if u change ur lid,, oh they can look like a death machine..

i think some of you have been sniffing something...how can you say a turd gen..oops i mean third gen looks better then a 4th gen. I have a 98 and everyday i have people askin me if my car is brand new and giving me thumbs up..also to me nothing comes close to a 98 or newer WS6..those cars just look so badass. As for the handling aren't the suspensions from a third and 4th gen basically exactly the same??? Not to mention i remember reading somewhere that a 98 SS does a .90 on the skidpad stock so you can't say 4th gens handle bad
I love driving the wife's 99 SS. It is fun, fast and looks sharp as hell.
I also love the looks I get when I drive the 92 RS. The handling is not the best (due to worn out suspension) but that will soon change.
As far as working on a car, the 92 RS is hands down the easiest for me to work on. I have put alot of time, money, blood, sweat and tears into that car. Needless to say it is my favorite. Not because of what year or model it is, it is because of the time I have spent on that car.
I am not some ******* mullet sporting, dip chewing deer molester but I do like fast cars. Any year, any make, any model it doesn't matter to me. I enjoy the car just because I can. :jif:
